1. The western coast at sunset

Grab a famous Gozitan pizza and head over to the west side of the island to watch the sun go down. Ideal spots are Xlendi Tower and Dwejra - so romantic!

2. A coastal dinner

We are spoilt for choice when it comes to selecting a restaurant by the Gozitan coast! Tmun serves seafood dishes against majestic views of the Mgarr Harbour, while Stone Crab in Xlendi and Ristorante il-Gambero in Marsalforn also offer great food with romantic sea views.

3. Ggantija Temples

Perhaps not what you would typically come up with when considering romantic spots in Gozo, but the UNESCO World Heritage Site is definitely atmospheric and interesting, especially if your better half is a history buff. Follow this with an explorative stroll in the recently-restored Citadel.

4. Tal-Mixta cave

Probably THE most romantic spot on the island. You can access Tal-Mixta cave either by a short walk from Ramla l-Hamra, or else by car through Nadur. Up until a few years ago it was more of an unknown secret location, but it has gained popularity over the years. Still, it is usually more or less empty when visiting. Sitting in the cave, you'll be met with a gorgeous view of Ramla l-Hamra and the surrounding sea.

5. Ta’ Gurdan Lighthouse

A trip to Ta’ Gurdan Lighthouse and a walk in the surrounding countryside can make for a memorable addition to your weekend. The lighthouse overlooks the little village of Ghasri and is surrounded by greenery and sea views. Here’s another idea. End off the day with a pizza from Francesco’s in Zebbug square. When seated outside, you can view the flashing light of Ta Gurdan from the opposite side.
