It’s pretty hard for you not to fall in love with Gozo upon your first visit, but visiting and re-visiting certain spots can really open your heart to the Gozitan way of life. The simple view on life is felt by many who call Gozo their home; some of which have lived there all their life and others who have relocated for a sense of peace.

Here are seven reasons why its so easy to fall in love with the sister isle.

1. The greener walks

Blessed with a serious amount of green areas, Gozo is full of spectacular spots where afternoon walks can be enjoyed. Your pedometer will be so pleased with your performance once you land on the smaller rock - you’ll want to walk more and see more!

2. The religious side

Just like Malta, Gozo is quite a religious island, probably a little more so in fact. There are so many churches spread across the land, all of which feature some spectacular art and architectural worth.

3. The culture trip

Heritage and culture in Gozo are quite the thing. Exhibitions, performances, grand openings and restoration projects keep Gozo looking fab throughout the year. Citadella is one prime example of architectural wonder worth discovering.

4. The perfect bite

Dig into the fresh and natural food of Gozo; where the tomatoes are sweeter and the ftajjar are as precious as gold. The best way to enjoy the typical food of Gozo is with a stunning view right before you.

Beautiful sunsets, the chirping sound of birds scurrying home for the night, the glass of wine in your hand with the soothing sounds of light jazz in the background. This is a Gozo evening, best enjoyed with people who make you smile.
