Plan ahead, folks! Gozo Channel to operate with one ferry less over the next few days
MV Malita will be out of service for maintenance.
Make sure you plan ahead to beat the (presumed) traffic, because as of tomorrow, the Gozo Ferry services will be down one ferry until Tuesday 12th February. The MV Malita, one of the ferries in the fleet, shall be off-service at the dry dock to receive some TLC.
To compensate for the decrease in vehicle capacity, Gozo Channel has added morning trips between the above dates. Mġarr departure times will be as follows: 4:45am, 5:30am, 6am, 6:30am, 7am and 7:30am, while those leaving Ċirkewwa will be at 5:15am, 6am, 6:30am, 7am, 7:30am and 8:15am.
Gozo Channel has also ensured that the MV Ta’ Pinu double deck will be operating to help ease the likely traffic congestion. The above timetable will remain operational until the MV Malita returns to service and depending on the weather conditions.
We recommend getting your things ready from the night before to dash out the door in the morning, and if you're heading to or away from the sister isle at any other time of the day, think ahead - there might be a longer waiting time than usual!
