Destination island!

The new year is in full swing as we welcome the first week of March, but after quite the weird few months if you've been working from home for a while, you might be left feeling a bit uninspired. Not to worry, as Gozo has so much to offer that you’re bound to ditch those blues with a long weekend break!

There are plenty of activities to be found on Malta’s sister island online at just the click of a button, whether it be a relaxing weekend of doing as little as possible, to an all-out activities trip! With all the lush greenery and picturesque landscape views Gozo has to offer, you'll be left feeling refreshed and recharged in no time.

Here are just a few ideas if you fancy taking a quick getaway without breaking the bank.

As the saying goes, “everyone has a novel in them”, so could 2021 be the year you finally write yours? Why not check yourself in to a shared Airbnb? Who knows, you might meet some seriously interesting new people who would go on to inspire your bestseller!

4. Culture trip

When was the last time you went up to Gozo and really saw all it had to offer? No, the hedonistic Carnival festivities don’t count! We’re talking about the temples and the Citadel— make the most of your heritage and set aside a weekend to explore and snap away like a true tourist! Both your mind and your ancestors will thank you for it.

5. Painting vacation

So this year you’ve decided to let your creativity shine through, and Gozo is the perfect place to make this happen. Keep your eye out for artists’ residencies and plain air painting courses; including ones which allow you to work with natural elements like soil and clay. That should bring you down to earth and in touch with Mother Nature!

6. Walking booster

Explore Gozo on a guided hiking tour which will take you to all the best secret spots! Of course, you could go at it alone or with friends, but organised tours usually include a yummy lunch and picnic break, and the chance to meet like minded travellers!
