The Manoel Theatre, one of the oldest working theatres in Europe, was built in 1731 by the Grand Master Antonio Manoel de Vilhena. Today, it stands strong as an example of Baroque architecture, boasting sophisticated acoustics and a full calendar of events. The Museum also takes visitors through the history of Malta's national theatre - watch out for the lavish stage costumes, antique sound-effects machines and much more.
