“Dear guests and friends, every beginning has its ending […] New friendships and wonderful memories bave been created,” the bar’s owners wrote on social media.

“So, myself and Lucienne would like to thank each and every one of you who came to visit us and supported us throughout this great journey. Now, it’s our turn to start enjoying life. Thanks, and lots of love,” they concluded.

Dozens of patrons took to the post’s comments section in the hours after it was posted to thank Tal-Villagg’s owners for their service.

“You both have added so much to Lija, and we enjoyed your warm hospitality. You will certainly be missed. Good luck on your next adventure and may you both enjoy good health and more fun and happy times together,” one commenter wrote.

“I cherish the memories that we made whenever we came for a glass of wine and I will miss your delicious, amazing food,” added another.

Apart from an extensive range of wines and spirits, Tal-Villagg also offered patrons an ever-changing food menu boasting an array of homemade delights.
