The Malta Aviation Museum is a sought-after attraction by both locals and overseas aviation enthusiasts. It is located on the former site of the Royal Air Force Station in Ta'Qali. The museum is home to rare and prestigious aircraft connected with Malta's rich aviation history. The collection comprises wartime aircraft and post-war jets, including the Spitfire IX, Hurricane IIa, Tiger Moth, T6G Texan, Piper L4, Dakota IV, Swordfish and others. The jets include VampireT11, Sea Hawk, Fiat G91R, Meteors T7, F8 and NF14. Aircraft engines, airfield vehicles and equipment, uniforms and memorabilia also form part of the collection.The museum is run by a Non-Governmental Organisation and is made up mostly of volunteers that continuously strive to acquire new items for its collection. In addition, a library, archive and photo collection have been set up.
