In one of his vlogs, local explorer, Angelo Caruana takes his viewers on a tour of the iconic abandoned house in Birzebbuga, Casa Ipollito.

He starts making his way to the traditional house by taking the trail along the Zembaq Valley.

“Have a look at this beauty”, Angelo expresses as he’s met with some stunning winter views of all the green fields.

It’s an easy trail with no rough terrain that is perfect for all the family.

After a peaceful sunny walk, he finally reaches the historical, Casa Ipollito. The house was built in 1664 by the Baron Ipollito.

It was designed in typical Maltese architecture, but it has been left to ruin and is now completely abandoned.

Some of the arches are still intact but most have collapsed from the lack of care. The house is clearly a two-story house but all the stairs leading up to second floor have given way entirely.

Angelo appealed for all those that plan to visit the house to take all the necessary precaution with safety equipment.

Do you think it should be restored?
