Gearing up for your first swim of the weekend but not sure which of Malta's bays to visit?

Local weather page Maltese Islands Weather took to social media to inform its readers of the best bays around Malta and Gozo to visit today, Friday 5th August, so you don't have to look very far!

This helps avoid the heartbreaking moment of getting to a bay only to realise that it’s way too rough or, worse yet, infested with jellies!

The recommended bays “are based on changes in wind, wave, and currents; along with reports from the general public”.

These are today’s recommended bays:

  • Mellieha
  • Imgiebah
  • Mistra Bay
  • St. Paul's Bay
  • Qawra
  • St. George's Bay
  • Rinella Bay
  • Marsaskala
  • St. Thomas Bay
  • Hofriet

  • Ghar Lapsi
  • Qbajjar
  • Marsalforn
  • Ramla Bay
  • Mgarr ix-Xini
  • Xlendi
  • Dwejra Inland Sea

This does not mean that only these beaches are 'safe'.

  • Little Armier
  • Armier Bay
  • Bahar ic-Caghaq
