Ferry nice! Gozo Channel extends summer timetable to January
This extension will make Gozo more accessible in the coming months

Emma Galea

As more and more means of transport between the two sister islands are proposed and introduced, few are as reliable as the good old Gozo Channel…

The storms that ravaged the Maltese islands these past couple of weeks forced the fast ferry to temporarily suspend its service. This meant that it was down to the Gozo Channel to safely transport hundreds of people to their desired destinations.

Because of this and to maximise efficiency, the Gozo Channel has decided to extend its summer timetable – which offers more frequent journeys than its winter counterpart – all the way up until 2nd January 2022.

“The extension of this period should help the Gozitan economy by making Gozo more accessible, both by increasing the number of trips daily and by having trips all throughout the night,” the Gozo Channel wrote on social media.
