As of today, unvaccinated people can once again enter Malta’s, cinemas, spas, pools, and gyms.
These new regulations follow prior restrictions that allowed people to enter such establishments only if they possessed a valid vaccine certificate.
Health Minister Chris Fearne had announced the easing of these regulations earlier this month. Just last week, Malta removed the vaccine certificate requirement from restaurants, snack bars, and kazini.
On 4th February, Minister Fearne had also announced that passengers traveling to the islands from dark red zone countries will be required to quarantine for ten days, as opposed to 14.
Those forced into quarantine upon arriving in Malta can now also do so from the comfort of their own home, provided that they possess a work permit. Quarantine hotels will still be used for those who don't possess a residency or work permit.
Could this be Malta's first step to removing all COVID-19 related restrictions?
