Here’s a full list of Malta’s 2023 public holidays and which days of the week they will fall on
Got to love a well-earned break!

As we’re about to ring in the New Year in a few days, we thought it was best to go through all of Malta’s public holidays for the year of 2023 and see which day of the week they will fall on, so you don’t have to.

The good news is that plenty of holidays are falling on Monday or Friday which means there are plenty of long, relaxing weekends for you to look forward to!

In fact, only two public holidays are falling on the weekend, New Year's Day itself and Saint Joseph’s Day in March.

Looks like a good year is up ahead!

Here’s the full list of public holidays:

  1. Sunday 1st January – New Year's Day
  2. Friday 10th February – Feast of St Paul’s Shipwreck
  3. Sunday 19th March – Feast of St Joseph
  4. Friday 31st March – Freedom Day
  5. Friday 7th April – Good Friday
  6. Monday 1st May – Worker’s Day
  7. Wednesday 7th June – Sette Giugno
  8. Thursday 29th June – Feast of St Peter and St Paul (Imnarja)
  9. Tuesday 15th August – Feast of the Assumption
  10. Friday 8th September – Victory Day
  11. Thursday 21st September – Independence Day
  12. Friday 8th December – Immaculate Conception
  13. Wednesday 13th December – Republic Day
  14. Monday 25th December – Christmas Day

Time to start planning your trips for 2023!
