St John’s Co-Cathedral ranked amongst Europe’s ‘25 best attractions’ by Tripadvisor
St John’s Co-Cathedral is easily one of the culturally richest sites on the Maltese islands.
International travel website Tripadvisor has just ranked St John's Co-Cathedral in Valletta as one of the best attractions in Europe - and it’s all thanks to its impeccable traveller ratings.
St John's Co-Cathedral announced this monumental achievement following Tripadvisor’s publication of the ‘Top Attractions - Europe’ list, part of the Travlers’ Choice 2022 Best of the Best awards.
The list includes some of the best-known historical sites from around the continent, such as Barcelona’s Basilica de la Sagrada Familia, Rome’s Colosseum, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, and the Hagia Sophia Mosque in Istanbul.
Said list is composed of 25 entries, with St John’s Co-Cathedral coming in 24th place, ahead of the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.
“In a year of heavy competition and changing traveller priorities, St John’s Co-Cathedral exceeded expectations and has been lauded as one of their favourites,” the St John’s Co-Cathedral wrote, celebrating the achievement.
“Based on a full year of TripAdvisor reviews, the Travellers’ Choice Awards honour the best in travel, recognising the places that delivered the most exceptional experiences. The St John’s Co-Cathedral Foundation thanks its visitors for their continuous support,” it continued.
Home to a number of Caravaggio masterpieces, a spectacular ‘Oratory’, and an unending array of priceless, historical artefacts, St John’s Co-Cathedral is easily one of the culturally richest sites on the Maltese islands.
Just last June, a Maltese walking tour covering Mdina and Rabat received similar acclaim from Tripadvisor after making it onto its list of the ‘Top Cultural and Historical Tours’ from all over the world.
What an honour!
