Skies are set to partially clear up on Saturday.
The long-awaited ‘gharajjex ta’ Santa Maria’ are upon us once again!
After much speculation about bad weather hitting the islands during the week leading up to as well as the week of Santa Maria, residents have finally reported rainfall over Ghajnsielem and Victoria in Gozo.
Showers in Ghajnsielem, Gozo:
From the looks of it, Malta won’t be remaining dry for much longer, with Mellieha currently welcoming swarms of grey clouds.
Today’s weather was predicted by various sources earlier this week, with the meteorological office within the Malta International Airport forecasting possible showers on 10th, 11th, and 12th, August.
Showers in Victoria, Gozo:
Local weather page Maltese Islands Weather had reported that this is the result of a Mediterranean anticyclone growing weaker and currents of cool air destabilising the local atmosphere.
Despite such weather, temperatures aren’t expected to get much cooler, with highs of 32°C, 31°C, and 30°C predicted for today, tomorrow, and Friday, respectively.
Skies are set to partially clear up on Saturday.
